REVEREND SUSAN GARY ASHE, SENIOR PASTOR
Reverend Susan was born in Oxford, Georgia and is the daughter of a United Methodist Pastor. She was raised near Emory University from the age of 8 with her 3 brothers. Susan first received Christ at age 12 and heard the call to ministry at age 20. She graduated from Emory University with a double major in music and psychology in 1984, and went immediately to The Chandler School of Theology, from whence she graduated with a focus in pastoral care in December of 1987.
Susan spent a year as a chaplain at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. She was Ordained as a Deacon in the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church in 1989 and then as an Elder in 1991.
Susan has served as an Associate Pastor at Stone Mountain First and Snellville First; as the Senior Associate at Oak Grove in Decatur; and as the Senior Pastor at Dacula First UMC. She was appointed to the Powder Springs First United Methodist Church in June of 2007.
Susan is also a classically trained singer, and enjoys singing with the Michael O’Neal Singers. She also enjoys spending time with her family, both immediate and extended.
