REVEREND DIANE SAUNDERS,  ASSOCIATE PASTOR     associatepastor@powderspringsfumc.org

Pastor Diane is an ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church. She completed her studies on the deacon track at the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, and has served Dacula FUMC, Douglasville FUMC, and Fellowship UMC most recently. We are so blessed that Diane and her husband Robert have felt led to come walk with us here at Powder Springs FUMC. They are offering their time on a volunteer basis, and Diane has chosen to be half-time with us, fulfilling her ministerial appointment with the North Georgia conference of the United Methodist Church beginning August 1, 2011.

Diane has special training in Pastoral Care, including being a trained Stephen Ministry Leader, and has led all of the Disciple Bible Studies, including Jesus in the Gospel and Christian Believer. Diane was a teacher before she went into the ministry, and received all 3 of her education degrees from The University of Georgia - her B.A., her Masters and her Specialist of Education.

On a personal side, Diane and Robert live in Douglasville, have been married 23 years, and have 5 children between them, plus 4 grandchildren. Robert is an electrical field engineer as well as an accomplished musician - a keyboardist, piano tuner, singer and worship leader. He is also the founder and director of the North Georgia Praise Team. In addition to being in the ministry and spending time with family, Diane enjoys gardening, hiking, cooking, reading and video games.

Join us in welcoming Pastor Diane and Robert Saunders to our church family!

JUNE RAINWATER, YOUTH DIRECTOR                      youth@powderspringsfumc.org

My name is June Rainwater and I am the youngest child of Manny and Elaine Provenzano.  Not only am I a native to Powder Springs, GA but I have attended PSFUMC my whole life – 41 years.  Having parents who have served in almost every capacity at this church, it is my heart to continue to serve right here.  I was brought up and shown through example the importance of being active in God’s work through the church and using your gifts to grow His family.  Growing up at PSFUMC, has developed a passion for serving Christ in the community but also here at my home church.

I have been involved with the youth ministry at our church since high school off and on but became staff in February 2009.  I have completed Youth Ministry Institute training given through the United Methodist Church of the North Georgia Conference.

As Youth Director, it is my desire to offer as many opportunities for our young people to learn more about being a follower of Christ – through bible studies, mission projects, serving in our worship services and having fun as we bond together relationships that will support and encourage one another in their spiritual journey.

I am Vice-President of our UMW and also involved with the Powder Springs Women’s Club.  Grant and I are both active members of the McEachern Athletic Booster Club.

I met my husband, Grant, and began dating him through our years in youth at this church.  We married in 1990 and have two children: Zach, 18 and Ema, 15.  They both attend McEachern High School.  I love being with them and traveling to some of our favorite spots or new places on our list.
