Not Sure About Visiting?

We would be happy to answer some questions you may have.

Visitation Ministry

“Maglean’s Militia”

OK…………….why are we nicknamed “Maglean’s Militia” you may ask?

Because, for almost 19 years, Ms. Maglean Oglesby has faithfully visited the sick and shut-in. Last year, at the age of 86, just she and another lady were doing the visitation. She said she asked God, “Should I just quit going?” That very same week, I was praying “Lord, show me where you can use me.” The next Sunday, I went to the 8:30am worship and sat directly behind Maglean. I felt the Lord encouraging me to ask her about the Visitation Ministry. She responded, “I am down to just one other lady and me…I’m almost ready to give it up.” I asked her, “Can you hang on to train a new generation, Ms. Maglean?” Hence, in honor of her longtime faithfulness, the Wednesday morning visitation ministry deems themselves “Maglean’s Militia”.

What does this branch of ‘God’s Army’ do?

Specifically, we visit sick and shut-in folks. Every week there are always more people to see. We don’t have enough “teams” to visit them all. The lonely, sick, and shut-in just want someone to talk with and to share a hug or smile.

Everyone is qualified to participate in this ministry immediately!

We meet in the church parking lot every Wednesday at 9:30am.  Won’t you please join us? If you need a ride, we’ll try to arrange it. GOD has been so GOOD to us! Not so that we should keep HIS love and goodness to ourselves, but that we should reach out to others with HIS love. We are HIS hands, arms, and feet.

“Maglean’s Militia” needs you!

See you at 9:30am each Wednesday morning.

A Blessing Awaits You!!!!
